Storage Tips
Insurance: You are not required to by insurance, however we do recommend that you insure your stored goods and we can provide you with coverage. You can also check with your Home Owners Policy or Renters policy to see if they offer coverage as well.
Containers and Packaging: Use covers or plastic storage tubs whenever possible, especially for items on the ground. Try not to use cardboard boxes unless they are kept off of the floor. The floors are concrete so they can naturally absorb or let off moisture during certain times of the year.
Security: Check your belongings regularly to avoid damage. You are responsible for the condition of your stored items.
Efficient Furniture Packing: Try breaking down furniture into smaller pieces, whenever possible. Example: remove the legs from a table, take apart bed frames, etc. Store large pieces of furniture vertically to save space . To protect from scratching and keep clean of dust, cover furniture with sheets or tarps.
What NOT to Store: Never store food in a storage unit. Combustible, flammable or other hazardous and toxic materials are not allowed to be stored in our self storage units. Never store any animals or plants.
